A set of gifts I knit & crochet for my niece this Christmas. They paired with a book my mom got for her, called Little Robin Red Vest by Jan Fearnley. The book is really adorable, and is essentially the story of how the robin got it’s red breast. This was a really fun project to do, and I’m so happy with how each of the pieces came out. And the vest fit!! I was shocked! 😆🧶

Weaving in ends is the worst part of knitting/crochet, and no one can convince me otherwise!
I started this blanket over 10 years ago when I was a total noob, and didn’t know this was a terrible idea for how to deal with stripes. It sat in the closet for ages till I decided to get it done this year. I have regrets. 😂

Also made persimmon gingerbread today, which turned out delicious! 🍞 Had some leftover fruit too, so threw together a tiny batch of jam to use it up.

🧶 I think I have about 11 projects in progress at the moment, 7 of which are gifts. (This number started at 6 when I began writing, but I keep thinking of more!) We’ll see how many end up shipping out for the holidays, and what ends up postponed for later. 😂

Currant, hibiscus, rose hips, roobios, blueberries, orange peel, cranberries, passion fruit, mango. A lot going on in this one, and so much flavor! Great when you want tea, but not “tea”. 🌺

I’m on some meds where a possible side effect is (I’m serious) reduced purchasing impulse control, and it’s difficult to observe for that vs just “holiday shopping.” 😂 🛍🛍🛍

Why is Expert the only difficulty level with one hand???? I’m so completely dead now! 😂 (also am not left handed, making it that much more challenging. I could only pass 2 songs!)

☕️ Tea today: Holiday Pumpkin Pie 🥧 It has actual pumpkin bits in it! The “leaves” are captivating. 🤩 I wouldn’t say it tastes like pumpkin pie, but it is quite delicious. 😋
